:O Hes copied that from someones facial Moko…..A BIG “NO NO”. Wonder if the wearer knows that he has someone elses family tree tatted on his leg?!?!?!
Its flattering that people emulate our culture but yeah hehe… dat no moko bruthas and sistas!. But its all gudJust had my ta moko done by Riki Manuels apprentice Shaun - hes an up and commer from Moko @ Otautahi their number is 366 4943 their real gud fullaz
Actually, upon viewing it further, these patterns are not Maaori at all, they are a try-hard mix up of something the tatooist has seen. This is not Maaori design.
While it’s flattering that people should try and emulate Maaori designs like this, it’s not Tikanga based. Does the Artist have Maaori blood? If the answer is no then this is best described as an interpretation of our peoples 5000 year old art.Plz redefine it so…
